| Another version of the lilac gown. As you can see, the gown is princess cut, and strapless. It is made from a very soft pure silk crepe satin, with a tulle overlay. The tulle has crystals, or rhinestones scattered across it, as you will see if you click on the thumbnail of the bodice close up. This version of the dress has an additional shoulder strap. The strap sweeps under the bustline of the bodice, and wraps al the way round the body. This is made of tulle and satin, just like the dress itself, and has four rows of rhinestones covering its entire length. The stones are all sewn on by hand. The gown is fully lined and the bodice area is boned. Inside the dress are hang straps, and a waist belt, which fastens with hooks and eyes, and takes the strain of the fairly close fit away from the zip. I also eases the fastening of the zip. As you will have gathered, the dress fastens by means of a concealed zip at the left side. I don't like to put zips in the backs of dresses because it can make you reliant on having somebody else present to do you up! NB in the top picture the zip does obviously do up, but my client is smaller than my tiniest dummy! |
